Palmetto St. Augustine

  • Very versatile turf with better than average color retention going into winter.
  • Quick spring green up. 
  • Massive root system, enabling it to have superior resistance to nature’s elements.

Raleigh St. Augustine

  • Developed by North Carolina Experiment Station to be resistant to a disease known as St. Augustine Decline (SAD). 
  • Slightly larger blade than common St. Augustine or Palmetto St. Augustine
 
 
Tifway 419 Bermuda 
  • Dark green color with fine texture. 
  • Medium low growth habit. 
  • Fast growth rate. 
  • Low temperature hardy.    
  • Very few seed heads.
  • Can be used on lawns, fairways, and tees.
  • Tolerant of Bermuda grass mite, sod webworm, and mole crickets.

  • Empire is a rich, deep, emerald-colored grass with a massive root system.
  • Excellent soft texture and proportion, thriving in harsh tropical climates, yet exhibits a strong cold hardiness, tolerance, and rapid injury recovery.
  • Fine, tight blade growth with outstanding Fall color retention and early Spring green-up.
  • Moderate shade tolerance with a selective resistance to insects and disease.
  • Requires less fertilizing, watering, herbicide or fungicide usage, and mowing as compared to St. Augustine or Bermudagrass varieties.
  • Easy weed control due to growth habits and high tolerance to most common herbicides. 

    Empire zoysia
     
    • Striking deep blue-green colored Bermuda grass with a tight growing habit, fine-leafed blades, and a soft touch and feel. 
    • Grows well in most soil types found in the Houston area.
    • Rapid Spring green-up with excellent drought tolerance and moderate shade tolerance.
    • Highly durable and resilient.
    • Excellent grass for golf courses and homes alike, having a highly efficient root system, therefore lowering the need for frequent watering as well as weeding.
